SORRY – this gig is now sold out!

It’s Christmaaaaas! (Well it will be soon….!)

We’re very excited to announce that we will be releasing a CHRISTMAS SINGLE in December. The cheeky new track, titled Exmas, is a festive ditty written in sympathy with all the parents who will be putting up with their ex on Christmas day for the sake of the kids.

There will be a release party at The Dublin Castle on Sunday 6 December 3-6pm featuring a live show from The Pukes, an acoustic set from Knox and brass punk/ska ensemble Brunk.

The Pukes are giving the proceeds from the download to Rock ‘N’ Roll Rescue where several members of the band volunteer in their spare time. The charity shop sells musical instruments and equipment, records, CDs, cassettes, clothing and memorabilia. They offer an instrument and audio equipment repair service and host gigs, workshops and other events. In September The Libertines borrowed the space to use it as a ‘bucket shop’ for their reunion gigs.

Rock ‘N’ Roll Rescue was set up by Knox – original frontman of The Vibrators – earlier this year with the aim of helping people “at the bottom of the welfare system”. So far they’ve helped the Camden branch of The Trussell Trust foodbank as well as Food For All – a charity which provides food for homeless people in the area. In the future Knox hopes the shop will become an informal drop-in centre for people “who’re not feeling so good or just want to hang out”.

Knox said: “The shop has been very much supported by The Pukes, as three or more of them (and their friends) have been helping enormously with manning the shop. So it is with the greatest pleasure that Rock ‘N’ Roll Rescue is teaming up with The Pukes and their (dare I say) joyous music (God, I sound like an old hippy!).”

Exmas will be available for pre-order soon as a download through iTunes and Amazon (we’ll keep you posted on when it’s available).

The Pukes are also playing four dates with Bad Manners on their Christmas tour and heading back to Germany in January.
